Thessaloniki is the second largest city in Greece, with history dating as far back as 316 B.C. This region is currently home to roughly 30,000 refugees who have fled their homes in Syria, Iraq, Iran, Pakistan and other Middle Eastern countries to seek refuge from their war-torn nations. Many are hungry for the Gospel, creating a need for laborers to reap an unprecedented harvest. Interns in Thessaloniki will work in refugee camps to meet practical needs, build relationships and share the love of Jesus. Aside from humanitarian roles, interns will have time to invest in families, lead Discovery Bible Studies, disciple new believers, lead prayer and intercession and help host short-term teams. Consider serving refugees in a region ripe for the message of Jesus alongside our long-term team this summer.
