Budapest, Hungary is a unique city in Europe, mixing both the familiar West and the intriguing East. With a population of just under two million people, Budapest is a strategic city with Catholic roots and a large population of young people 30 and under, many of which speak English. The long-term team has found younger Hungarians to be open and drawn to social justice work, creating an entry point for the team to serve alongside locals, sharing the Gospel in the process. Interns will have a unique opportunity to develop strategies to reach students in the area and invite them into a bigger vision for their lives. The combination of a declining economy, vulnerable populations who have depended on failing government programs to meet their needs and a college-aged population looking for noble causes to support, make it simple to find outreach opportunities. Hungary is a destination that will allow you to help shape the future of Europe this summer.
